The Polaroid Philosopher – 3 YEARS 10,000 SNAPSHOTS
Having grown-up with “instant film” and what we all referred to as Polaroid cameras, I vividly remember the experience of taking these snapshots and immediately sharing them with the people around me. I also remember the distinct colours, hues and tones of instant film, that progressively changed as the film technology improved, to what exists today. Despite the advances in technology I am still in love with the effects of the old instant film, so in early 2010 I decided to start an ongoing series of photos, I am taking daily, of subjects I find around me through the hues and tones of an old Polaroid instant camera and created The Polaroid Philosopher series.
Now with over 10,000 photos I am preparing for a show and I am creating and publishing books which will soon be featured in my Bookstore, building virtual shows and video presentations, and soon I hope to exhibit all of the photos in a gallery in both the States and in Europe.
